The innovative design of the Spiritles combined with the hand made process has produced exceedingly amazing art to this day. Spiritiles start out with a layering of powdered glass over a stencil to create the design itself from colored glass over a copper canvas. The glass and copper carefully get placed into a kiln to set the design onto the copper. After cooling when removed from the kiln, an artisan takes a rolling pin over the glass. The copper and glass get delicately folded over a solid wood frame at its final step. The crackling in the glass adds to each tile and uncertainty of surprise to the individual Spiritile.
